Founding partner of DJA, Diego Joaquim has extensive experience as a lawyer and consultant in customs, tax and international trade issues, serving national and multinational companies in various segments, such as automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, electronics, among others. Over the years, Diego has led teams and conducted technical meetings of import and export operations of goods and services, taxation incident in foreign trade and qualification of companies in special customs regimes.
In addition, the professional was in charge of projects of import of used material, tariff classification and guidance on international agreements, rules of origin, ex-tariff claims, calculations of operating costs, maritime law issues and structuring of international trade operations with mapping and elaboration of operational flows.
Diego is a visiting professor of the postgraduate course in Maritime and Port Law of UNISANTOS and of the postgraduate courses of UNIP in Campinas. He also taught classes in Customs Legislation for the preparatory course of public tenders at Central de Concursos and acted as a professor of the Technical Course of Foreign Trade in SENAC.
Diego is recognized by the renowned international publication Chambers & Partners as one of Brazil’s leading lawyers in the region of Campinas.
